Hey track junkies....

Summit Main on Monday September 27 with NESBA. Most of my track buds will be there trying to keep up with my Rex. lol I'm down to a 1:29, looking for :27's this trip. Fresh super corsa rear should help. It was pretty ragged out by the end of my last day at VIR.

So, prep your Rex and get your arse to the track. I'll be waiting for you.

Yeah, about an hour from my door. And a _real_ tire? Man, you crack me up. You probably like the color red too, doncha?

Well, back from a great day at Summit. Track was dry and grippy, WERA ran there all weekend. Typical 4 or 5 get-offs, usually cold tires, including a CR in T-10 lap 1 or 2 of a session. Oops.

My buddy Mike's kid, Josh, on an R6 was honking in the B group. Really talented kid. He spent the day playing with CR's until he lowsided in T1 in the afternoon. Chasing a gixxer. Damn kids. He's fine, bike is a little rashed but coulda been much worse. Another R6 went off there in the morning and they brought it back in boxes. Rest of us kept our stuff all shiny.

I spent the day dicing with a CR on a gix750 and a rider on an R1. The R1 could get me on the brakes into 1 and that was about it. I'm 430 lbs, 135 ponies so I wasn't giving anything away in the f=ma department. He was able to deal with traffic a little better but I could always chase them down. Ton of fun. Romping with these two netted me some 1:27's and 8's, best of 1:27.33. Brakes were fading by the afternoon which brought on some pucker so I'm gonna need more I think to get into the :25's. Motorhead was going on about Vesra pads. Thinking maybe the braketech/sintergrip route. My tranny is bent pretty good now, too. Stuck between gears in T10 is absolutely no fun with the pack hard on the gas right on your arse. Gonna have to pull it this winter.

Still didn't get an A sticker. CR says I need to work on passing some more which is a polite way of saying more cornerspeed. Ok. I've got more of that in me. The fun is in the journey, anyway.

Mike, I think that's their way of saying they don't want a ZRX in "A" group passing anybody...... It's too embarrassing..:laff:

Might be up there next week with the bike in Wood Bridge. Going to a retirement. The weather is looking good for the whole week. Don't know how much visiting I can do up there or riding but I might do it just because.
