Anyone know of a good brand of helmet that has the green, white and blue colors of our bike? I found an HJC (I think that's what it was) with great colors but I would not put my head in that $150 piece, seemed like cheap junk. Am used to having Shoei, Snell approved. Only have one head so why not protect it best you can. Anything good out there?
Thanks.

 Love my CL-14. No blue / purple in it, but it matches my '03 as perfectly as anything out there! Snell and DOT approved.

Dude,

This forum is literally got choices all over the place. Obviously if you can go the route of official kawasaki gear...

If you want the Shoei, there are loads of threads that discuss the RF-1000 and others, depending upon the features you want and $ you want to depart with. Good deals can be had on the internet with a little bit of shopping, those sites have also been discussed at one time or another in other threads in this forum (and i know are also discussed in the RF-1000 threads).

I think that if you are not wanting to go with the cheaper $150-$200 range, then step up to the $300+ range with the Shoei and Arai products (actually if you really shop, some can be had for like $260+). I agree with you that the difference in quality and feel between these levels is well worth the extra price. Too far above that I don't have the desire to pay much for graphics.

I ride in the Shoei RF-1000, with green Voltage graphics that I got for under $300 incl. shipping. Hope that helps.

I have the HJC CL-14 MBII (http://www.hjchelmets.com/cl14_mb2.htm#) "cheap junk". What's wrong with it? Go ahead and spend $300+ on your helmet. I can put that money to better use. Nothing wrong with my helmet.

Hey Swwwinger, be cool. I admit I did not use the best words describing the helmet. But the point was why put a $50 dollar tire on your bike instead of a $120 one. A tire is a tire, right? Wrong. Helmets are in the same catagorie, $150 one vs. a $350 one, there is a difference. Anyway no big deal, we all have our choices, that's what makes the USA great. I should not have slammed the other helmet, just made a comparison. Peace to all.

Apparently you've never worn a high quality Arai.

I thought all helmets with the Snell Rating DOT Approved means that it is approved for an impact of a certain MPH. I thinks it's 35 or 40 mph. So even if you buy an HJC, $150.00 Helmet, or a $250.00 Shoei, or an $500.00 Arai Helmet! They are all rated the same. The cost difference is in the material they use to either make them light, better air flow ect. And we all know what happens when your helmet gets dropped. Arai, or any other helmet! They all can be damaged by just dropping them on the floor. Aloha, Victor
