Just thought I'd introduce myself and my "old school" Kawi.

My name is Jeff and I live just south of Allentown,PA ( or 90 minutes north of Philadelphia). After a 10 year absence, I purchased a 1993 Kawasaki ZR1100 to start riding again to to save gas ;) I'm the third owner and my friend Dave was the original owner and our boss was whom I purchased it from. This way I know the entire history of the bike.

I also have a few triples that I owned back in the early 80s that I'm restoring right now. The current project is a 1973 Kawasaki H1 500 and the next in line is my first triple, a '74 H1 500. I've had quite a few dirt bikes and also started street riding on a '77 KZ750 twin. After the triples I got a '82 GPz750.

Here's my ZR1100 with the SS-28 windscreen I run in the fall & spring

That was day I brought it home last June. Just over 18K on it then, over 23K now.

Let me dig up some triple pics.

It's actually running in the picture.

I got some parts off ebay, another motor and parts from my friend Jess ( who told me about this forum ) and got it looking like this

Then I pulled it down to bare frame, redid the motor and polished/cleaned the cases.

That was about 15 hours of hand work

Redid the handlebar controls too

The '73 H1 shares ignition parts with the H2's ( 750 ) and those parts are extremely expensive.

I've kept them both for over 25 years, I can't see selling them now.

Thanks everyone

Thanks. They only imported them to the US for one year. they were originally called the "Zephyr" but FORD had a temper tantrum since they already had a car by that name in the US market. ( I guess people would confuse a motorcycle with an ugly car :loco )

That makes it a real treat to get parts too. My last little part I got I had to purchase from the UK ebay site :knock:

Welcome to the Board, Jeff!

Thanks
