Thanks Mike - it was fun.

I've added all the notes back into your Dyno runs and tidied them up so stop by with a floppy and I'll download them all for you. Apologies again for the balls-up; I owe you one.

For those who don't know Mikes bike, setup is as follows (not 'stock' like it says on the dyno header!):

Full Muzzy (Alloy), FP2.5, Mains 130/132, Needles 2.5, Pilots 38, Fuel Level 19mm, Pilot screws - ?1.75?

The bike is really sharp - both for it's lovely crisp carburation and the classic 'Cafe Racer' look. Its a great example of just how well the ZRX responds to a good pipe and jet set-up.

Nick, Thanks for providing the details. The screws are actually 1 1/4 turns out or a tinsy bit less. Nick, I'll apologize in advance to you for my next comment...

Hey all! Nick is an extremely competent Dyno Pilot and (even better) a very experienced tuner! I'll guess (not really a guess) he's been setting up bikes for a quarter century - give or take. He knows more than a few things. Nick, thanks again. Take Care.

Err - way too kind :o

22 years - but must be honest - not many bikes (except my own) for the last 10. Bit rusty but having a ball - much more fun than the car fuel injection stuff I was distracted by! Its good to be back :thumbs:

Excellent results!:thumbs: Damn these piped and jetted 1200 dyno runs are making me feel inadequate!

Question: Are the needle settings 21/2 from top(deeper in the hole) or 21/2 from the bottom(out of the hole)? When I had the 2.5 in mine I had the same jetting but the setting deeper in the hole just didn't make power(butt dyno)but with needle 4th from the bottom(out of hole)it did the arm stretch to you. Air screws at 13/4 netted poor response but at 2 turns felt like another cylinder was added. Floats were the same but header was and still is a holeshot which I do like. Even when it was running awesome it still didn't make those #s. I can't help it I'm just courious.
Thanks == Bobby

Deeper: 2 1/2 from top (1/2 clip leaner than 3rd from top). Screws at two turns out?? So would be running the 35 pilots then eh? I'm running the 38's.
